I wrote 50,000 words of a novel! That I am now editing...Also I learned a massive amount working on the great roles of Chekhov at Antaeus and learning ballet from scratch! And continued as usual with on-camera class and singing. More news coming up in May...
A Letter To... had a successful run! See our closing bows below.
I applied and was accepted to act in a master class directed by Oscar winner Paul Haggis in Berlin this summer at the TV Series Festival! Very exciting news.
Finally, I started an epic amount of work on a piece a narrative fiction...Surprise! Stay tuned.
A very creatively rewarding February!
I was cast in, and have started rehearsals for a very cool theater piece, A Letter To... going up in Hollywood on March 11 and 18. (Pre-order tickets here.) And I shot a USC short!
I also started Chekhov class at Antaeus Academy. Along with that, I've still of course been continuing my studies with Brad Greenquist (on-camera) and Bruce Eckstut (singing)...and I have begun taking ballet with Stefan Wenta...so call me a triple threat!
Lone Fox did some shooting this month, and I finished writing a promising short I can't wait to shoot! I've gotten accustomed to using all my gear and becoming my own one-man crew with lighting sound, and camera.
I put together a fun audition for a classical summer repertory company which is unlisted (for now!) but you can enjoy below: it includes two Shakespeare monologues, a song, and an interview about my theater and Shakespeare connections and experience.
I also auditioned into Antaeus Academy and am excited to start studying there. I am happy to be getting back into theater, the love that brought me to acting in the first place!
Happy holidays! I've been writing up a storm working on a feature, and helping out on set as a producer. I've also been experimenting with photos and video with my new Canon 5D Mark III!
My most recent short, L.A. is Hella Hard, was finally released! Check it out below.
Happy Thanksgiving! My little sketch has become an epic trilogy! See the weekly videos over at my Instagram, @harrieteweaver, and below, enjoy what has become Part 2 and 3:
I participated in a strenuous week of meetings and classes with 18 industry professionals including casting directors and agents, with my second LA Connection with Actors Connection.
Haze made a huge splash upon release, garnering positive reviews in Variety and the LA Times, as well as making it to the front page of Entertainment Weekly!
Finally, for fun, here is a little sketch I put together:
Back in LA! I've started 301 class at Upright Citizens Brigade and enrolled again in Actors Connection, as well as starting up again with on-camera and voice classes. The short I wrote and starred in, L.A. is Hella Hard, was completed! I continue to work on writing projects.
Finally, I am appearing on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire THIS Thursday and Friday, September 28 and 29! Go to MillionaireTV.com to find your local affiliate and time! Tune in to find out!!!!!
MARY GO NOWHERE had its run at the Edinburgh Fringe! I had an absolute blast living in Edinburgh for a month, doing 24 performances almost every day, and seeing a lot of the other productions the Fringe had to offer. We received good notices from many Edinburgh publications (including ThreeWeeks and The Scotsman). It was a fantastic experience!
